MPP CEO, Faustine Delasalle reviews 2025 – a year of growing clean industrial momentum
Faustine Delasalle, CEO Mission Possible Partnership and Executive Director, the Industrial Transition Accelerator
2025 has been a year of quietly growing momentum. As it began, financial investment decisions (FIDs) across sectors seemed to be sluggish, but by the time of the November Global Project Tracker update, we had seen 19 FIDs, bringing the total number of plants financed or operational to 144 globally.
Today, despite a year of geopolitical and macroeconomic turmoil, the momentum of clean industry is visible and measurable. With over 1,000 total projects counted worldwide, the task now is to turn the hundreds of announced projects into financed plants under construction. Through the launch of our global campaign, Build Clean Now, we are focusing attention on accelerating the pace of financing projects, year-on-year, as well as celebrating and sharing clean industry success stories from around the world.
At the beginning of the month, alongside our partners E3G, we discussed our report ‘Building Europe’s Clean Industrial Future’ in the European Parliament and made the case for well-designed policy to stimulate demand. Read the full report here.
We have also been expanding our work with developers on the ground to fast-track projects. The year started with project support for clean industry in Brazil and the UAE and it’s ending with programmes in Brazil, the UAE, India, Egypt and Australia, along with a broader programme of activities across Asia Pacific and Europe. In 2026, we plan to be supporting many more projects in the global pipeline, both directly and indirectly.
On behalf of the entire Mission Possible Partnership team, we thank you for being part of the MPP community and extend our warmest wishes to you and your loved ones for a joyful festive season and look forward to collaborations in the New Year.

The Mission Possible Partnership Team
Mission Possible Partnership | MPP
Mission Possible Partnership (MPP) is an independent non-profit organisation advancing global clean industry transformation. Since 2019, we have been working with some of the most energy-intensive industries: aluminium, aviation, cement, chemicals, shipping and steel, to cut their nearly 25% of global GHG emissions.
We mobilise business, finance, government and civil society leaders to speed up the shift to clean materials, chemicals and fuels. Having charted sectoral pathways to net-zero, we continue to forge new territory, lifting the barriers to enable a critical mass of clean industrial projects to break ground by 2030.
Industrial Transition Accelerator | ITA
The ITA is a global multi-stakeholder platform -managed by Mission Possible Partnership – to fast-track decarbonisation across heavy-emitting industry and transport sectors. It aims to significantly grow the pipeline of commercial-scale, clean industrial projects to reduce emissions by 2030.
Build Clean Now | BCN
Build Clean Now is a global campaign bringing together governments, companies and finance to accelerate the pace at which clean industrial projects are financed and built, year-on-year. It is led by the Industrial Transition Accelerator (ITA) and Mission Possible Partnership (MPP).
