Mark is currently the President of Agriculture and Turf Division of John Deere. He has been a member of the global senior management team since 2007 and has spent his entire professional career with Deere from 1988 onwards. Mark gained cross cultural experiences in all major regions of the world and has had responsibilities in product engineering, manufacturing, sales & marketing as well as government affairs. He is a key contributor to the very successful development and implementation of Deere’s digital business model in precision agriculture.
Mark holds an advanced degree in business administration from the University of Hamburg/Germany and received an honorary doctorate in agricultural sciences from the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim/Germany in 2021.
Amongst others, he is a member of the enlarged board of directors of VDMA (German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association), the Regional Advisory Board South-West of Deutsche Bank and a member of the Board of trustees of the University of Heidelberg Foundation.
