Nandita Parshad was previously the Managing Director, Sustainable Infrastructure Group at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) where she headed a group of over 200 staff covering the energy, transport and municipal infrastructure sectors in all of the Bank’s 38 countries of operation. The Group holds a portfolio of about EUR 30 billion.
Nandita has over 35 years’ experience in financing and investing in the energy and infrastructure sector in diverse emerging economies such as India, Eastern Europe, former Soviet Union, Mongolia, Turkey, Middle East and North Africa. She was previously a Member of the Energy Transition Commission, co-chair of the WEF Future Council on Energy, and the IEA Finance Industry Advisory Board (FIAB). Nandita has also held various Board Directorships in investee companies and served as a Director on the International Board of the United World Colleges. She currently serves on the External Advisory Council of the MS Chadha Centre for a Global India at Princeton University
Prior to working at the EBRD, Nandita worked at the World Bank in Washington D.C. 1986-1987 and in India 1988-1992.
Nandita was born in Calcutta, India and holds both her undergraduate (A.B. 1986) and graduate degrees (MPA 1988) from the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
